Measured Building Survey

Job Information:

Our team was tasked with conducting a comprehensive Measured Building Survey for a Methodist Church in Cambridgeshire, which was preparing for significant alterations to both the building and its surrounding areas. As experienced surveyors, we undertook a thorough assessment of the structure, carefully measuring and documenting every detail to ensure accuracy.

The data collected allowed us to create precise floor plans and provide comprehensive measurements, which played a key role in aiding the architects and contractors during the renovation process. Our expertise ensured that the church’s plans for refurbishment were fully supported by reliable and detailed survey information.

Methodology:

The Internal Measured Survey was carried out using state-of-the-art technology to ensure the highest level of accuracy and efficiency. This included a hand-held laser measuring device that seamlessly connected to a PDA via Bluetooth, enabling real-time data capture, alongside the use of traditional tape measurements for added precision. The survey covered a range of Building Elevations, from basic structural outlines to highly detailed representations that showcased intricate architectural features such as cornices, decorative elements, and brickwork patterns. This comprehensive approach ensured that every aspect of the church’s structure was
meticulously documented, providing valuable insights for the planned renovations.
